Suspects Assault Man, Steal His Phone, Cash

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- Two men break into a north Lansing home, assault the man inside and steal his belongings.

According to a sergeant at the Lansing Police Department, the home invasion occurred around 6 a.m. Friday on the 1400 block of Ormond Street. Police say two men assaulted the victim inside the home, demanded his cell phone and cash and then ran away.

Police are still looking for the suspects. They describe the first suspect as a black 25 to 30-year-old man who is around 6'0" with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a dark sweater and had a thin beard. Police say the second suspect is a black 25 to 35-year-old man who was last seen in all dark clothing.

Police say the victim received multiple bruises to his face, but refused medical treatment.
