Win Free Gear When You Countdown To Madness

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - It's that time again, the time for fierce rivalries, bracket challenges and competitive spirits.

Basketball fans, get ready to be green with envy. 6 News rivalry week tips off with complete coverage of your Michigan State Spartans, especially with the green and white closing in on the top spot in the country.

All month long and right up to the big tourney, You'll see right here on WLNS our Countdown to Madness with special clips, highlights, interviews and exclusive TV-6 contests.

Michigan State jumped into the no. 3 spot in the country, which was held by Wisconsin previously.

The Hoosiers will be coming to the Breslin Center Tuesday for a night affair with the Spartans. This game will have extra meaning for both teams. Indiana Head Coach Tom Crean was born and raised in Michigan and went to Central Michigan University. He also was an Assistant Coach for Tom Izzo and the Spartans from 1995 to 1999.

And for everyone watching at home, you can be a winner just like the Spartans in our first Guess the Score contest.

All you have to do is head over to the Countdown to Madness page on our website and put in what you think the score of the game will be. Whoever guesses the closest will win a Spartan hat, gloves and scarf.

We'll announce the winner Wednesday on 6 News at 6.

If you don't win, don't worry. We're having our Guess the Score contest for all remaining Michigan State games and for all mid-Michigan Wolverine fans out there, you can play too. Guess the Score is going on for U of M games as well.
