MSU, U of M Battle In Blood Drive

Posted: Updated:

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Sudents at Michigan Stat University and the University of Michigan are taking part in a blood donation battle.

The American Red Cross helped with the blood drive Tuesday at MSU's International Center.

Students are participating in an on-going blood drive through the end of February, when the Spartans and Wolverines are scheduled to meet again in Ann Arbor.

Even though this is a competition, organizers and volunteers say there are no losers, because just a single donation can help several people.

"It feels great, you know, every time somebody donates blood, you save three lives, up to three lives. And that's something that I'm really passionate about. It's an easy way to help out the community and make an impact on someone's life," said George Williams, an MSU student.

For more information on where to donate, visit the Red Cross website.
