Beat The Winter Blues With Zumba

Posted: Updated:

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - It's hard to keep up the motivation to exercise during a cold winter.

With the warm blankets and so many tasty treats, sometimes you'd rather just stay in bed.

But piling on those pounds can slow you down physically and bring you down mentally. So it's crucial to take measures to stay active and happy.

6 News Reporter Francesca Amiker spent the morning at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center checking out some Zumba moves that will keep you in the clear of 'the winter blues.'

"Zumba is a great and fun way to stay in shape. It gets the blood moving and the mouths smiling! It's a great way to stay in shape mentally and physically during the winter because it's always hot in Zumba! said Becky Newcombe, Zumba Instructor.

Don't miss the video preview above to see what one of Becky's classes is like.

Becky holds a zumba class every day at the Hannah Community Center. The classes vary in levels. Just give her a call at (517) 333-2580 or check out her website: http://rebeccanewcombe.zumba.com.
