Ice Skating Club Encouraging Women To Lace Up And Stay Active

Posted: Updated:

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - As we know it's important to remain active at any age and with all the outdoor and indoor activities in mid-Michigan staying active locally should be a cinch.

A skating club is asking the women of our local community to leave the husbands at home and join the Ladies Silver Blades Ice Skating Club at Suburban Ice Rink in East Lansing.

The Ladies Silver Blades Ice Skating Club strives to promote the joy of skating and provide women with the opportunity to learn skating skills in a fun, social atmosphere.

At each session, a professional conducts group lessons in basic skills, freestyle, dance and team skating.

Women can participate as much or as little as they like, there is no pressure to join in on the lessons.

"Some of us enjoy the challenge of trying new moves, some of us come just to enjoy skating with friends. And all of us enjoy the snack table!" said Jo Seman, President, Ladies Silver Blades.

Ladies Silver Blades is located at 2810 Hannah Blvd. in East Lansing.
