MSU Dawson Breaks Hand, Out For A Month

Posted: Updated:

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - In a press conference Thursday, Coach Tom Izzo announced Branden Dawson will be out for 4-6 weeks.

The MSU guard/forward broke his hand out of frustration, said Izzo. He pounded a fist on a table during a film session. Supposedly teammates were saying he needed to give more and Dawson reacted.

"I let the anger get the best of me," he told the press.

The junior is expected to have surgery Thursday.

Dawson was in all 36 games last season, starting 35 of them, according to the MSU Spartans website.
