TMSG: Home Divided Prepares For Rivalry Game

Posted: Updated:

POTTERVILLE, Mich. (WLNS) - Meet the Van Wagners, Justin and Chelsea with kids Devin and Taylor. Die hard Spartan and Wolverine fans, their family time in Potterville is spent cheering on their teams during our Countdown to Madness.

They say MSU v. U of M rivalry week, which is every week as it turns out here, has it all. "Lots of food, lots of family, it's fun, but then there's the trash talking," said Chelsea.

"Random crazy bets that get made over the games. I said if Michigan lost I'd shave an S into my head. You win some, you lose some, it's all in good fun," said Justin.

Divided homes like the Van Wagners are not only all over mid-Michigan and the state, but also the country. See all of our Homes Divided on our Madness page.

Ready to watch in their TV room, the Van Wagner's know there will always be a victor all too eager to rub his or her spoils in this season. But no matter the final score, they've got the right kind of winning attitude.

"In the end, you know they're always their for you and you for them because you're family," said Justin.

Michigan - Michigan State will play at the Breslin Center on Saturday at 7p.m.
