It was time for Josh Horford to take his turn in a Comet uniform. He is a sophomore for Grand Ledge and he was not amused by the Holt posse.
But Holt kept the gym rockin' anyway.
Colin Jones. could not stop rockin'. He got one and the foul, and C.J. had a few words of his own for Holt students following the bucket.
There was a lot of energy, as Holt was one game behind first-place Grand Ledge in the CAAC Blue. Donquall Jackson did his usual thing. He had ten points in this one, as Holt led 37-36 heading to the fourth quarter.
But that was when Grand Ledge flipped the script with defense. A rebound by JT Houghton springed Cassell Jones for two of his team-high 14 points.
The Comets led by four in the closing minute. Holt needed a bucket, Jones picked a pocket and Mitchell Hankerd drew the foul.
And the Comets made their free throws. Grand Ledge was still perfect atop the Blue after a 60-54 victory. And in a matchup of top point guards, Casell Jones won this battle with Donquall Jackson.
