EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- Michigan and Michigan State fans alike headed to bars across East Lansing Saturday to watch the big rivalry game.
For many fans, it was a heartbreaking loss at the Spartan Hall of Fame Cafe, as the Wolverines came back to beat MSU in Spartan Nation.
"It's pretty depressing, you know, this is kind of a game we look forward to all year and it was a really good game throughout the entire thing, but the end didn't turn out quite the way we expected," said MSU fan Meghan Knoll.
"I love watching the Michigan, Michigan State rivalry grow, whether it's football or basketball, it's just awesome," said Michigan fan Sue Lund. "I give the Spartans credit for making it a game," joked Jeff Lund.
"It was a tough game and a tough loss without [Branden] Dawson and [Adreian] Payne, but, I'm forever a Spartan and Go Green," said MSU fan Angela Korrey.
"The old saying for Michigan State is whether they win or lose, the party is just as big, but it's a little sour tonight," said MSU fan Mark Buckley.
While Wolverine fans celebrate Saturday night's Michigan victory, MSU fans are hopeful February's rematch in Ann Arbor brings the Spartans home a win.
