Sculpture Garden Planned For Tecumseh High School

Posted: Updated:

TECUMSEH, Mich. (AP) - An art teacher and her students are planning to build an outdoor sculpture garden at Tecumseh High School.

The Daily Telegram of Adrian reports that the southeast Michigan school students and teacher Christine Obeid will work with a landscape architect to make the garden a reality. They hope to finish planning soon and break ground in the spring.

Obeid says the size and look are still being discussed but the students are already talking expansion.

Superintendent Kelly Coffin says she is pleased with the students' initiative. She hopes it can be completed in stages and incorporate sculptures that now are displayed around the city.
