Former PTO Treasurer Sentenced To Two Years Probation

CLINTON COUNTY, Mich. (WLNS) - A local bus driver charged with embezzlement has been sentenced to two years probation and she's ordered to pay more than $8,000 restitution.

Prosecutors say Tammy McGrath took nearly $10,000 from a Sheridan School PTO over the last year.

McGrath has been ordered to pay more than $7,000 restitution to the school and $458 to the school's principal.

The judge also ordered 30 days of jail time to be served after her two years of probation.

McGrath served as treasurer between October 2012 and August 2013, which is when the money was taken.

She pled guilty to attempt to embezzle on December 9.
