Petition To Deport Justin Bieber Passes Goal

Posted: Updated:

DETROIT, Mich. (WLNS)- A petition asking the government to deport 19-year-old singer, Justin Bieber back to Canada has passed its goal after only 6 days.

The whitehouse.gov petition was started by "J.A." in Detroit, Michigan and has a deadline of February 22 to reach 100,000 signatures. As of 5a.m. on Thursday January 30th, the petition has 177,784 signatures.

The size of the petition merits an official response from President Obama and his administration.

The petition says, "we the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture".

It was created after the Canadian born singer was arrested in Florida on DUI charges and an ongoing investigation of an alleged egg-throwing incident at Bieber's neighbors home, in California.
