Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - An early morning fire kept firefighters busy Thursday as flames spread across a Lansing home.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of Oak Street.

The family and pets made it out of the house safely.

After investigating, firefighters say the fire was accidental. Flames were seen bursting above the garage and were able to be put quickly. The garage is a total loss and the home received extensive smoke damage. Six people are displaced as a result of the damage.
