ADRIAN, Mich. (WLNS) - Five mid-Michigan residents are facing charges for their alleged role in an extensive sports betting ring.

Kevin O'Connor and Thomas Demlow, both of Adrian, Deborah and James Johnson, from Jackson and Gregory Worker of Onsted are being charged in the scandal.

Michigan State Police say O'Connor ran the sports betting operation for more than 15 years in Lenawee County through his flooring business.

State police say he accepted wagers for college and professional football and basketball games.

The four others are accused of helping him.
