Electrical Fire Displaces One Person

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Firefighters are investigating the cause of a Thursday morning house fire, but believe it is electrical.

It happened around 7 a.m. in the 400 block of Cox Street.

Heavy smoke and flames were seen coming from roof. The home received interior damage and was in the process of being remodeled.

One person was displaced due to the fire, but they were not injured.

Officials say it's important to make sure inspections are performed and licenses are approved to avoid any kind of electrical problems during remodeling.
