Man Who Dumped Dead Dogs Pleads Guilty

CHARLOTTE, Mich. (WLNS) - A Brookfield Township woman whose three dogs were found dead inside a dumpster behind a Payless shoe store has been charged with animal abandoning and cruelty.

Diane Willis, 82, pleaded not guilty to the charge and a $1,000 bond was set.

Sonny Rounds of Eaton Rapids, the man who was asked to bury the dogs, put them in a dumpster because the ground was frozen pleaded guilty to one count of improper burial of an animal.

Bond was set at $50,000 for Rounds. He is expected to be sentenced on April 3.
