States Plead For Help In Propane Shortage

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)- Governor Snyder along with six other governors are writing a letter to President Obama asking for help in the propane shortage and the related price increases.

The seven Midwest governors are asking for the administration to help increase supplies for propane. That includes governors from Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Kansas and Iowa.

They also want a short term suspension of certain regulations to increase supplies to the states.

Earlier in February, Governor Snyder signed an executive order allowing drivers moving propane to work longer hours during the shortage.
