Lansing Plows, Salt Trucks Work To Clear Roads

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Lansing snow plows and salt trucks are out on the roads, actively trying to clear snow from major streets and state trunklines.

Plows are currently clearing routes: 19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30. To see where these streets are, check the map HERE. If possible, officials are asking for drivers not to leave cars in the street if possible. It's prohibited from 2a.m. to 5a.m.

Crews warn visibility and blowing snow could still be an issue during the evening commute. Several inches of snow fell Tuesday night into Wednesday morning in mid-Michigan. The range of snow stretched from around 3.5 inches to nearly 6 inches.

Officials are still warning drivers to slow down and be cautious on the roads.

"It's gotta be a partnership out there. I mean we're out there but we also need motorists if they're out there to really slow down and pay attention to conditions as well," said Lt. Joseph Tomas.
