The first incident happened Friday night near Michigan State University's campus. Police responded to a fatal shooting in the 200 block of Cedar Street in East Lansing. Police believe the suspect likely suffered significant facial injuries during a struggle.

Pictures of the suspect, who is still at large, have since been released. He's described as a 20-25-year-old black man, around 6'1" to 6'3" and 170 pounds. At the time of the shooting, he was wearing a black hooded North Face winter jacket, tan pants and black shoes.

The second incident happened on January 27 around 4:30p.m. at a coffee shop in the 2000 block of Saginaw in Lansing. Police say two people were having coffee together. When they left, a woman left her purse at the table. When she returned, several valuable items had been taken.

Staff at the shop released surveillance video of two men nearby. The video shows one of the men going through the woman's purse.

If you can identify the men above (captioned coffee larceny), call the Lansing Detective at 517-483-6823.
