Four People Killed In Early Morning Fire

THREE OAKS, Mich. (WLNS) - Police say a house fire is responsible for killing four people early Thursday morning.

It happened in the 200 block of North Elm. around 6 a.m. in Three Oaks. The city is in Barrien County in southwest Michigan, just north of the Indiana state line.

Fire officials say the fire started around 5a.m. State officials are investigating the cause of the fire.

Everyone else was accounted for in the home.

The city's population is only around 1,800 and neighbors say the deaths are a very painful loss.
