LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)- The city of Lansing along with Michigan State University celebrates the birthday of Charles Darwin.

There are 10 events scheduled throughout February, to celebrate the college's 10th annual Darwin Discovery Day at the MSU Museum, with the first that kicked off on Sunday.

The event took place on campus and everyone was invited to discover and explore. Involved in the show were museum curators, specialists, and MSU students from the Darwin Program on campus, along with reptiles, amphibians, and other up close and person creatures.

The events help to promote an appreciation of scientific knowledge through human curiosity.
