Construction Starts on Van Atta Bridge

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)- Construction on the Van Atta Road bridge over the Red Cedar River in Okemos is scheduled to begin Monday.

The project is planned to replace the existing 60 foot long bridge with a 100 foot bridge.

Traffic will be detoured along Jolly Road, Meridian Road and Grand River Avenue until the project is completed.

The bridge construction is expected to last until late May.
