Lansing Leading The Way In Job Development

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Small businesses are booming in Lansing. The Michigan Business Association says within the last month small businesses have bloomed at an even faster rate.

Small businesss growth means big job growth, which is a great trend to have in Michigan. The trend comes after an improved tax and regulatory climate, which means that entrepreneurs can now be more optimistic about investing in the statem, making them more willing to take risks.

"Collaboration is so important to the success of downtown areas. Here in Lansing they've done a great job with the private sector and with state government. It's all coming together to make this an exciting place to work. And a terrific place for visitors to come and visit," said Michael Rogers, V.P., Communications, Small Business Association of Michigan.

Rogers says out of all the downtown economies, Lansing is leading the way in job development.
