(WLNS) - A 10-year-old boy is receiving birthday wishes from all over the world. It all started when Colin's mother asked if he wanted to have a party for his 11th birthday on March 9.

Colin's heart-breaking response drove his mother, Jennifer to turn to Facebook. She created the Facebook page "Happy Birthday Colin," which now has more than 1 million likes in just 10 days.

Colin told his mom he didn't want to have a birthday party because he doesn't have any friends. He said he eats lunch in the office at school so other children aren't bothered by him.

The 10-year-old is diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome, which affects his social and communication skills.

The Happy Birthday Colin Facebook page has received an overwhelming response which includes comments, videos, pictures and even children saying they would be Colin's friend.

Colin's mom set up a PO Box to receive birthday cards after requests of where to send them and she's already received a handful. On the Facebook page Jennifer says she's hiding the cards and hoping Colin doesn't know yet.

His sister Ella says he'll probably "scream his pants off" when he finds out about the huge, worldwide birthday surprise.

Colin's mother wrote on the Facebook page, "I thought, if I could create a page where people could send him positive thoughts and encouraging words, that would be better than any birthday party."
