Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - It may be the dead of winter, but Michigan farmers are getting ahead of the game.

Hundreds are meeting with Governor Rick Snyder on Wednesday to address issues facing the industry.

The agriculture, particularly in Michigan has gotten a lot of attention lately, following President Obama's visit to East Lansing to sign the Farm Bill.

Now farmers from across the state are getting the chance to meet with legislators face to face to focus on other top priorities.

Some of which include transportation, infrastructure, energy and taxation.
