Mother, Son Pleaded Guilty To Killing, Torturing Dog

Posted: Updated:

HILLSDALE, Mich. (WLNS) - A mother and her son each pleaded guilty to charges of killing or torture a dog in a Hillsdale courtroom Thursday.

Police say Angela Spicer, 52, and her son, Donald Green, 36, allowed a 3-year-old pit bull to freeze to death, possibly as a form of revenge against Green's ex-girlfriend who owned the dog.

The dog was found malnourished inside a doghouse. Officials say Green admitted that the dog had not been fed for two weeks before it died.

If convicted, the pair could face up to four years in prison.
