Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - A statewide poll conducted by Epic MRA asked Michigan residents if they think Michigan is headed in the right direction.

The Lansing-based company released the results just a week after President Barack Obama visited East Lansing to sign the Farm Bill.

The question polled 600 Michigan voteres who were also asked about the leadership of Michigan and the numbers were close.

The results from the poll were very clear. More than 50 percent of Michiganders feel that America is headed in the wrong direction .

Nearly 50 percent of that same group voted that the state of Michigan is on the right track.

As far as the state's leadership, Governor Snyder came out on top, but other Michigan leaders weren't too far behind.

More than 50 percent of the voters favored Governor Snyder while only 17 percent favored Michigan democrat Mark Schauer.

Former Michigan Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land had the second highest favorable number with 28 percent, followed by Attorney General Bill Schuette with 22 percent.

US represenative Gary Peters of Michigan straddled the lines of favor and unfavor with 19 and 13 percent respectively.
