Fathers Cook Valentine's Day Breakfast For Students

Posted: Updated:

GRAND LEDGE, Mich. (WLNS) - Students at a Grand Ledge School started their Valentine's Day off right with some sweet breakfast treats made by their dads.

As part of Catholic Schools week the school dads from Saint Michael Catholic School cooked breakfast for all of the students.

It was the first ever "Daddy's Serve Breakfast" event that originally had to be postponed because of the amount of snow days this year.

"Watching them come through the line and seeing them get their food and seeing the dads helping them out. It has been really fun. This is really something that we'll have to do again in the years to come," said Allison Parks, Vice President of St. Michaels, PTO.

The event was prompted by the schools Parent Teacher Organization to promote family involvement with the school.
