Grand Ledge coach David Jones has done a wonderful job in the CAAC Blue. His leading Comets traveled to Lansing Everett.
The Vikings got a nice play by senior Azalea Miller thru the lane on a drive, and got a foul. Everett pulled within seven.
But Grand Ledge had so many weapons, as a nifty no-look pass from center Cori Crocker to Lindsay Orwat led to a bucket plus one. The lead went up to 18, and it was a big night for Lindsey.
In the fourth quarter in transition, Orwat had a stop-and-pop jumper and nailed it. And they stopped the game at this point. Orwat got a hero's welcome on the sideline, which put her over 1,000 career points in her brilliant career.
The Comets went on to win, 74-56, and are now 12-0 in the league.
