Car Crash Closes Cedar St., Sends Drivers To The Hospital

DELHI TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLNS) -- A multiple vehicle crash in Ingham County closes main roads for nearly four hours and sends multiple people to the hospital.

The Ingham County Sheriff's Department said the crash happened on Cedar Street at Cedar Park Drive around 5 p.m. Friday.

A Ford Escape, driven by a 53-year-old man from Eaton Rapids, drove southbound on Cedar Street when it crossed into the northbound lanes of Cedar Street. The driver struck a Chevy Blazer, driven by a 38-year-old woman from Lansing. The vehicles hit head-on and ricocheting into a Pontiac Grand Prix traveling northbound, driven by a 33-year-old man from Holt. 

Officials said the driver of the Ford Escape was taken to McLaren Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Chevy Blazer was taken to Sparrow Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Pontiac Grand Prix refused medical treatment.

The Ingham County Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit continues to investigate the crash.
