SHIAWASSEE CO, Mich. (WLNS)- He's the only circuit court judge Shiwassee County has seen for almost 30 years, and now Honorable Judge Gerald Lostracco will be retiring.

Over the weekend, the 68-year-old judge made the decision not to run for re-election. Michigan law allows for judges to run for re-election until they hit 70-years-old.

Judge Lostracco was first elected to the Shiawassee Court back in 1985. He says he'll now have more time for one of his favorite past times, playing the accordion.

He will officially step down on December 31.
