Community Review Team Looks At Pay Record For Utility Workers

Posted: Updated:

(WLNS) - 6 News has received requests to see the documents cited in a report on Friday that dealt with what the BWL paid utility workers during a recent ice storm.

A Community Review Team is currently investigating the Lansing Board Of Water and Light's response to that storm, including worker's hours and pay, staffing levels, and other information.

These documents, which BWL provided to the Review Team are the pay records for workers from one utility company brought into to help restore power.

The employees listed on these records, were on a double time pay scale, as they worked shifts lasting up to 18 hours during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

To protect their privacy, we've removed the company's name, as well as the workers names from the documents.
