Rep. Walberg Discusses Affordable Care Act

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - US Congressman Tim Walberg was in Delta Township Tuesday afternoon to talk about President Obama's health care law.

The town hall visit was the first visit of two for Walberg.

The Affordable Care was the topic Tuesday.

Walberg, a republican favors repealing the health care law and he was among those on that side of the argument during the government shutdown as well.

He spoke to 6 News Tuesday about the one-year delay for business owners before they're required to provide insurance to their employees which the White House announced last week.

Representative Walberg wants congress to delay more parts of the law.

"If we are now delaying parts of this law and specifically mandates, what about individuals who have lost their insurance, what about them. Why not delay it until we get it right? We don't have it right, it's not working, it's not just the website, it's the product.," said Representative Walberg.

Representative Walberg will be having another town hall meeting tomorrow in Jackson if you want to attend.

The meeting runs from noon - 1 p.m. on the fifth floor of the Jackson County Commission Chambers on West Michigan Avenue.
