Snow Kicks Off Wild Weather Day In Mid-Michigan

Posted: Updated:

You know the old saying "If you don't like the weather in Michigan, wait a few minutes?" That's the perfect way to describe what's going to happen in mid-Michigan today.

It started with above-freezing temperatures earlier in the morning.

Temperatures will start rising again, turning the snow to rain and melting the snow that hit the ground.

Temperatures will slowly rise and winds will begin to blow.

Then this evening, temperatures will pick up even more - until a new front moves in overnight, starting with winds in the 20 to 30 mile an hour range. Gusts could hit up to 50 miles an hour.

Those winds will bring in a new cold front that will drop temperatures back into the 20's.
