Police ID Leslie Man Found Dead Under Tree

LESLIE TWP., MI (WLNS) - Police have identified the Leslie Twp. man who was found dead under a 40-foot tree Saturday.

The man is 61-year-old Bradford Wills.

According to police, the man was chopping down wood early Saturday, which is something he does often, on his and his girlfriend's property on Vaughn Road.

When she realized he was gone for several hours, she went looking for him, just after 5 p.m. That's when she found him under the 40-foot tree that was approximately 10 inches in diameter.

Police say when they found him under a tree, he was frozen. It is unsure how long he was pinned on the ground.

Officials are waiting for the autopsy to figure out his exact cause of death, whether it was the from the impact tree or frost bite.

The Leslie Township Fire Department along with extended family members help remove the tree.

At this time the death is being ruled an accident.
