Police Asking For Help To Identify Woman

JACKSON, MI (WLNS) - Michigan State Police are asking for the public's help to identify a woman whose body was found back in 1978.

The unidentified body was found on Aug. 29, 1978 on Clear Lake Rd., north of I-94 in Waterloo Twp, Grass Lake, Michigan.

The victim's body, which was found in a garbage bag is believed to have been dumped on the side of the road around 9:20 a.m. on Aug. 29, 1978.

The victim is believed to have been an African American woman between 28 - 40 years old. She was about 5'3" - 5'7" tall and 130 pounds. She wore an auburn, wavy, collar-length wig and police believe she may be from the Detroit area.

Police identified another Detroit woman who was found the dead same morning.
