Lansing Casino Project On Hold

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, MI (WLNS) - 6 News has learned of an update on the proposed Lansing casino.

The 6th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals allowed for Attorney General Bill Schuette's request.

His request was to ban the upper peninsula tribe of Chippewa Indians from moving forward with the $245 million casino plan.

This is according to our media partners MLive Lansing.

This decision comes just a couple months after the court had ruled in favor of the tribe.

Now the U.S. Supreme Court will decide whether or not to issue a delay.
