GM Adds More Models To Ignition Recall

Posted: Updated:

(WLNS) - General Motors is adding more cars to the ignition recall that was announced earlier in February.

Due to faulty ignition switches, GM is now doubling the number of cars they're recalling.

This problem has led to 31 crashes and 13 deaths.

More than 800,000 cars have been added  to the previous recall, bringing the total of potential deadly cars out there to more than 1.4 million.

The recall includes:

  • Chevrolet Cobalt (model years 2005-2007)
  • Pontiac G5 and Pontiac Pursuit sold in Canada
  • Saturn Ion (model years 2003-2007)
  • Chevrolet HHRs (model years 2006-2007)
  • Pontiac Solstice (model years 2006-2007)
  • Saturn Sky (2007 models)
