Man Pronounced Dead Comes Back To Life

Posted: Updated:

HOLMES COUNTY (CBS) - The family of a 78-year-old Mississippi man is celebrating after they went from planning a funeral to thanking God for this jaw-dropping miracle.

The man, known as Walter "Snowball" Williams died on Wednesday, Feb. 26. A coroner pronounced him dead and he was put into a zipped up, plastic bag.

About two hours later the mortician called and said something wasn't right. Williams' daughter, Martha Lewis recalls the mortician saying ,"his leg started moving."

Snowball's family has gone from mourning to singing his favorite song and praising God.

"Hallelujah, thank you, Jesus!" said Lewis.

When asked if there is a medical explanation, Holmes County Coroner Dexter Howard called it a miracle.

So it was not my daddy's time," says Lewis. "I don't know how much longer he's going to grace us and bless us with his presence, but hallelujah, we thank Him right now!"
