Local Utility Workers Travel To Kentucky To Clean Up Ice Storm

Posted: Updated:

JACKSON, MI (WLNS) - Dozens of Consumers Energy employees from Jackson are in Kentucky right now helping the Louisville area deal with their recent ice storm.

A union for the company says that about 65 workers left Jackson Sunday morning to travel to Kentucky.

Utility crews, technicians, and mechanics are working in Kentucky with the Great Lakes Mutual Assistance Organization. The organization is the same group that sent workers from many other states to Mid-Michigan during our December ice storm.
