National Pancake Day Benefiting Children's Miracle Network

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, MI (WLNS) - If Polish food isn't your cup of tea and Packzi have not filled your sweet tooth for the day, it's also National Pancake Day.

IHOP is partnering with the Children's Miracle Network to make every flapjack count.

Whether it's a few dollars of $100, IHOP is giving out a free stack of pancakes to anyone who walks through their door to donate to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Lansing's very own Sparrow Hospital will benefit from the proceeds as they build a bigger network of sub-specialty and primary care doctors for young children.

"A day like to today is not about how much money we make. It's not about what we get paid per hour. It's simply about being a tool in the community to give back to children and give back to great causes," said Brandon Navin, General Manager, IHOP, East Lansing.

In 2013, IHOP served more than 3,600 pancakes and raised $4 million.

This year the goal is to raise $3 million for the children.
