Community Officials Crackdown On Shoveling

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, MI (WLNS) - After mid-Michigan's major snowfall, officials have announced the crackdown of residents shoveling snow.

Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero will talk about the consequences for residents who don't shovel snow on sidewalks in a prompt manner on Wednesday.

In Lansing, people are required to clear the walking path in front of their property within 24 hours after it stops snowing. Mayor Bernero is expected to ask city police and public service departments to strictly enforce the law.
