Prices jump 30, 40 cents a gallon
LANSING, MI (WLNS) - This year is expected to be another strong one for the state's tourism industry.
According to a new study by Michigan State University, overall tourism jumped 4 percent in 2013.
Hotels saw a 2 percent increase in stays.
The only drop came from national parks, which was expected after the federal government shutdown.
Things are looking good for 2014 as well. Researchers expect another 4 percent increase, thanks to the stock market and more consumer confidence.
