Roof Collapses At Volunteers Of America Warehouse

Posted: Updated:

MASON, MI (WLNS) - A Mason non-profit may have lost about $100,000 following Wednesday's winter storm.

The roof at the Mason Volunteers of America warehouse partially collapsed.

Workers say they heard it come down and thankfully, no one was hurt.

However, the warehouse was full of merchandise for multiple VOA stores.

The VOA estimates about 20 percent of their summer product, including clothing may be damaged.

Despite the set back workers and volunteers are staying positive.

Fortunately the owner of the building also owns property next door and has agreed to let the non-profit house the merchandise there until the building is restored.
