Ford Announces News Automotive Design Scholarship

(WLNS) - The Ford Motor Company fund will award a $1 million grant for scholarships, commemorating the late William Clay Ford's contributions to the automaker's design legacy.

The scholarship program was announced Friday.

The fund is designed to help college sophomores and juniors working on degrees in automotive design.

Five college sophomores or juniors pursuing degrees in automotive design each will receive $10,000 per year.

William Clay Ford died Sunday, March 9 at the age of 88.

He was a grandson of automotive pioneer Henry Ford and owned the Detroit Lions.
