MSU Students Anxious For Spartans In Big Dance

Posted: Updated:

LANSING, Mich.(WLNS) – Students at Michigan State Universityanxiously await the Spartans' Thursday tipoff against Delaware, hoping for a win that will lead tothe school's first national championship in 14 years.

"Michigan State has a good shot at taking it allthis year," said MSU student Jacques Short.

The pressure on the Spartans intensified Wednesday after President Barack Obamaunveiled his bracket on ESPN with MSU winning the tournament title. "That'scrazy," said Short. "It's just scary because the president's predictions [haven't]been too accurate."

However, students aren't too worried about the president's history of off-the-markbrackets. "In my Final Four, I've got Michigan State,Florida, OklahomaState and Louisville. And I've got Louisville/MichiganState in the final and Michigan State winning," said MSUstudent Paul Kuhna.

But even in the land of Green and White, there'sbound to be a fan rooting for the Maize and Blue. "I've always been a MichiganFan, but I love State, too. But I think they'll make the run and hopefully getto the Final Four, but in my bracket I didn't have them going there," said MSUstudent Ismail Husain.

Michigan State will play Delaware on Thursday at4:40 p.m. Fill out your brackets here.
