Ronald McDonald House Holds 5K Race to Raise Money for Kids

Posted: Updated:

OKEMOS, MI (WLNS) - Each year hundreds of families travel to Lansing to seek specialized medical treatment for their seriously ill or injured children.

Right here in Michigan the Ronald McDonald House provides a home for families, to keep them as close to their kids as possible.

This weekend Ronald McDonald House is asking Michiganders to lace up their sneakers to run for the house in a 5k race that will benefit those families.

For the first time this year the 5k race will be part of the Playmakers race series.

Both Ronald McDonald House and Playmakers are asking interested participants to  sign-up before the race on Saturday.

Participants will receive race packets this year that include a long-sleeved performance shirt, race number with time chip, and more.

Packet pickup will be between 11am and 8pm at Playmakers on Friday, March 21.

Playmakers is located at 2299 West Grand River Avenue in Okemos, Mi.

There will also be limited race packet pick-up on site at delta dental on race day, starting at 8:30am.
