One man is in custody after a high speed chase across the Lansing area early Thursday morning.
It started shortly after 4 a.m. in East Lansing, and ended about a half hour later in Lansing.
That's after Lansing police say they laid out stop sticks along U.S. 127 near Michigan Avenue.
The sticks popped some tires, but didn't initially stop the car. He continued west along I-496.
Police say he eventually stopped and tried to run away. But with the help of a K-9 unit, police tracked him to the 1400 block of Bailey, where they found him hiding between two houses.
Lansing police say he gave up without a fight. They took him into custody and turned him over to East Lansing.
