Delhi Charter Township Offers Food and Electronics Recycling

HOLT, MI (WLNS) - There's nothing like starting off the season of spring with a little spring cleaning.

And this weekend the Delhi Publicly Owned Treatment Works is helping you rid your homes of any unwanted electronics, metals and leftover food.

In fact, recycle your unwanted electronics, metal and watch the Delhi sheep while they are sheared!

This event is free and open to the public. Accepted items are listed below:

  • computers (all types)
  • computer accessories 
  •  stereos/speakers
  • microwaves
  • copy machines
  • cd/DVD/VCR players
  • telephones
  • coffee makers
  • vacuum cleaners
  • toasters
  • household items with a cord (like computers, keyboards, old tools)

scrap metal:

  • aluminum
  • brass
  • copper
  • steel

Sheep will also be sheared at the event. Items made from their wool (hats, scarves, gloves) will be available for purchase.

The event is Saturday march 22nd from 10am to 3pm at the Delhi Publicly Owned Treatment Works Facility at 5961 McCue Road in Holt.
