MSU Offering Zombie Survival Course

Posted: Updated:

EAST LANSING, MI (WLNS) - Would you sign up for a zombie survival class? Michigan State University is offering a new class, called Surviving the Coming Zombie Apocalypse - Disasters, Catastrophes, and Human Behavior.

The class will teach students how to survive, escape and preserve the future of civilization.

According to MSU's website created specifically for the course, the class will have students thinking on how and why humans behave during disasters and catastrophes.

"Students in survival groups will face multiple challeneges and tasks as they attempt to survive the catastrophic event, escape death, and preserve the future of civilization. For the ability to survive ultiamtely rests not within the individual, but the group," says zombie.msu.edu.

A zombie (see picture) was walking around MSU's campus promoting the class. Students say people were walking up and asking to take their picture standing by him.

The three credit class begins summer 2014 and is taught by Glenn R. Stutzky.
